paint resin shed

Thought pepole bought plastic so they didnt have to have the hassle of painting them . only thing i can think would be to sand it and paint it like you would car bumpers. I was gifted a shed for my house. i do not mean to sound ungrateful because it is a really nice shed and we love it, but it doesn't match my house....
